David’s extensive experience in retail, finance and investment and as a Director of several significant Australian fashion brands spans over 20 years.
David was Chief Executive Officer and shareholder in iconic luxury fashion brand sass & bide from 2008 to 2014. David spearheaded a bold company re-structure, category and national store expansion plus international growth before selling the business to Myer.
Prior to sass & bide, David was Managing Director and shareholder in leading accessories retailer Mimco from 1999 and led its sale to Gresham Private Equity in 2007.
In February 2014, David became a shareholder in and Director of M.J. Bale, one of Australia’s leading designer menswear brands, and is a shareholder and strategic advisor to Maiyet, a New York based fashion brand which celebrates rare artisanal skills from unexpected places around the world.
Current board positions include Chairman of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and Director of Adairs Limited which listed on the ASX in June 2015.
David is a guest lecturer in the Monash University MBA Program. He began his career as a commercial lawyer at Corrs Chambers Westgarth after graduating from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Law (LLB).
As Retail Operations Manager at Mimco Elizabeth was responsible for implementing retail systems, opening stores across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore as well as developing and executing training programs for Regional and Store Managers.
Elizabeth joined sass & bide in 2009, where as Project Manager she oversaw the opening of numerous Australian and New Zealand boutiques, over 20 Myer concession stores and a New York City store.
Since leaving sass & bide, Elizabeth is project managing property developments and consulting to various retail businesses.
Elizabeth has a degree in Management (Marketing) from the University of South Australia.
Elizabeth has previously been involved with the charity Look Good, Feel Better and has recently joined the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute Development Board.
Rainbow has had over 20 years experience in Retail, Operations and Finance; holding key executive positions across a number of Australian fashion brands & global third party logistic providers.
In her role as Corporate Finance Manager at Schenker/Bax Global, Rainbow oversaw the development and design of management reporting and led the financial reporting group to the successful implementation of various systems.
In 2009, Rainbow became the Chief Financial Officer of sass & bide, where she played a pivotal role in the growth of the brand as well as the Myer acquisition in 2011. Rainbow was promoted to the position of Operations Director in 2013, leading the Finance, HR, IT, Production, Business Solutions and Logistics Functions.
Since leaving sass & bide in 2015, Rainbow has been consulting and providing expertise to a number of Australian fashion brands. This role sees Rainbow translating business strategies into executable business plans whilst reviewing operational efficiencies.
Rainbow has completed a Master of Business and a Bachelor of Business at University of Technology, Sydney, and has earned CPA membership.
Phillip was the CEO of his family company, Universal Enterprises, from 1990-2014 during which time the company grew into a multimillion dollar enterprise by supplying department stores and boutiques globally.
His skill set spanned the entire business including design, finance and operations, sales, brand management, warehousing and distribution, production, retail, marketing and social media.
Prior to this, Phillip was the head of three family owned companies involved in the textile industry.
Phillip now works along side company owners to create solid business and financial structures as well as assist in growth strategies and opportunities.
He is creative and innovative and likes to think outside the square whilst understanding conventional business and management principles.

Nicole has over 20 years’ experience in retail, leveraging a background in training and development early in her career, to progress into executive management roles with a number of successful, fast-growing Australian retailers.
Prior to establishing her own consulting business in 2010, Nicole was National Retail Manager of Mimco, overseeing its expansion from 8 to 62 stores, during which time the business was sold to private equity-backed Witchery Group. Prior to this, Nicole was National Retail Manger of Hudson’s Coffee which grew from 17 stores to a 35 store network before being acquired by Emirates Leisure.
In 2011, Nicole contracted to sass & bide as National Retail Manager for over 12 months to establish the business’ retail framework as it commenced its retail growth strategy prior to the eventual sale to Myer. During this period sass & bide grew from 7 to 17 stores.
During 2015 and 2016 Nicole was contracted to M.J. Bale as General Manager – Sales to manage the business’ retail operations and oversee its expansion from 22 to 50 stores and concessions.
Nicole has established a diverse specialty retail client base, working with various clients including Petstock, Vicinity Shopping Centres, Tiger Mist, Alice McCall, Viktoria + Woods and Camilla.
Danielle’s career within the fashion industry spans over 20 years, holding key senior positions within apparel retail buying, apparel wholesale, designing and product development, brand management, account management, trend forecasting and team management.
Danielle has worked in various environments from large corporate retail organizations such as Forever New, Sussan’s and Portmans to smaller privately owned companies, therefore, can offer fresh and innovative insights into fashion businesses operating within various segments of the market.
In her role as Buying Manager at Forever New, Danielle successfully led a team of buyers and redirected product and planning strategies to improve profitability.
Her role as Senior Buyer at Portmans was pivotal in changing the direction of the brand and setting up a platform of new procedures to improve business efficiency.
Danielle also has years of experience within the wholesale sector, holding executive roles at S&R Fashion where she re-invigorated and grew the Sussan’s account.
Danielle is a results driven individual who is committed to nurturing and supporting businesses by offering a level of flexibility and customization.
